The Dr. Susan Mahler Heart of Service Award was created to honor the leadership and legacy of a lifetime of service to students, education, and the support of the community. Susan was the first Principal at Olympic View Elementary School, a long-time resident of EastLake, and one of the originators of the Eastlake Educational Foundation. Susan passed away in 2022.
A Dr. Susan Mahler scholarship has also been created to support high school students going into the teacher profession and teachers completing their “student teaching” year.
