There are times when community members want to remember or honor someone, or simply want to provide students with assistance to accomplish meaningful goals. For this reason, the EEF has created a way for the community to accomplish this utilizing the resources, expertise, and backing of a long-time trusted local non-profit – The EastLake Educational Foundation.
The Daniel Endriss Scholarship
The Daniel Endriss Scholarship was created after the unexpected death of Eastlake High Student, Daniel Endriss. Marc and Debra Endriss raise money each year to fund a scholarship(s) for students with a heart for helping others and making the world a better place.
Martin Contreras “Coach C” Scholarship
For over two decades Martin Contreras was a teacher and a coach at Eastlake High School. He was affectionately called Coach C, and especially loved coaching football. He was very proud of his son, Christopher, who excelled as a receiver for the Titans.
Sadly, he lost his battle with cancer on May 9th, 2022.
Martin had a particular affection for the students that were often overlooked and forgotten. He taught special education in room 204 and established relationships with students that faced a variety of challenges. He was always available to encourage them to succeed regardless of the challenges they faced.
