Luis A. Lopez is a multiple award-winning educator with a profound love for learning and has had experience working with various leaders in the field of equity and social emotional learning with projects that help their communities thrive. He brings over 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher and curriculum developer to support the equity work at Sweetwater Union High School District as an MTSS Coach, SEL Curriculum Developer, SEL Facilitator, Equity Commentator, and Advocate for Whole-Child Education.

 

 

HNemour 1727 OUTLOOKHeather Nemour is a Program Specialist: Student Wellness & Positive School Climate for the San Diego County Office of Education

Ms. Nemour provides technical assistance, coaching and training to districts and school communities across the county and state in suicide prevention, student/staff mental health & wellness and positive school climate. Ms. Nemour has 18 years of leadership experience in the family strengthening field at the state national, state and local level and was instrumental in the development and sustainability of a network of five school-based Family Resource Centers in the South Bay. Additionally, she taught sociology courses in the surrounding community colleges and National University.

 

 

Margaret Sedor CASP

Margaret A. Sedor, Ph.D., NCSP, ABSNP, LEP     School Psychologist | District Suicide Prevention Coordinator, Sweetwater Union High School District  

Dr. Margaret A. Sedor, NCSP, is a School Psychologist for the Alternative Education Department and Launch Academy, the District Crisis Response Co-Lead, and District Suicide Prevention Coordinator within the Sweetwater Union High School District. She is Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Counseling and School Psychology at San Diego State University. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Sedor has provided leadership in the area of mental health and wellness at the county, state, and national levels. Currently, she serves on the NASP School Safety and Crisis Response Committee, the CASP Legislation Committee, CASP Mental Health Committee, and the California Department of Education Social Emotional Learning Task Force. As a nationally recognized presenter, Dr. Sedor provides training in MTSS, mental health and wellness, social emotional learning, restorative practices, crisis response, and suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention.

 

Jesus Ulloa-Higuera

Jesus “Dr. Leo” Ulloa, Ed.D

Mr. Ulloa will serve as the event Moderator. Jesus “Dr. Leo” Ulloa is an innovative transformational educator who is passionate about STEM education.   He has his doctorate degree in organizational leadership with an emphasis in STEM education, a master’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in educational leadership, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. “Dr. Leo” is a director for the EastLake Educational Foundation Board of Directors.
