Eastlake High School

EastLake High School opened September 8, 1992. Each year this year-round school serves approximately 3,100 kids from 9-12th grades.

The mascot for EastLake High is the Titans and the school’s colors are royal blue, kelly green, and grey. In addition to the academic offerings, there are 100 school clubs and sports activities. Some of the technology and STEAM clubs include: TitanBot First Robotics, ACE, Cyber Security, Coding, Girls in Tech, Arts and Crafts, Beach Eco Club, Environmental Club and Academic League.

EHS Robotics Club

Co-hosted (with SPAWAR) a FIRST Lego League qualifying tournament for the last 9 years. Each year 24 FIRST Lego league teams are welcomed to EHS to compete for a spot in the Southern California Championships held at Legoland.

Young Women in STEM Club

Inspiring Girls in Tech

ELH hosted an annual Girls Inspiring Real Leadership and STEM (GIRLS) conference for the last three years. Each year, we have had the opportunity to help inspire approximately 200 young women toward a career in a STEM field.

2017-2018 Accomplishments:

  • FIRST San Diego Regional Robotics Competition (held in Del Mar), 40th Position out of 66 Teams
  • FIRST Las Vegas Regional Robotics Competition, 8th place and 5th seeded alliance captain made it to the quarterfinals . Also was the Innovation in Control Award Winner for the unique integration of the robot control system and programming.
  • The quadcopter team took first place out of the nine schools in the 2nd annual SUHSD/NAVAIR Quadcopter Challenge. Judging was based on the team’s technical report of their design, a verbal presentation to judges, a ground mission involving demonstration of modular design, size, and weight, and two flight missions; a race around an obstacle course and an external load delivery to a drop zone.

ACE Mentor Club Architecture

The ACE Mentor Program of America, Inc. (ACE) helps mentor high school students and inspires them to pursue careers in design and construction.
ACE’s mission is to engage, excite and enlighten high school students to pursue careers in architecture, engineering, and construction through mentoring and to support their continued advancement in the industry.

More than 9,000 students from 1,000 high schools annually participate in ACE
and in 2018, the EHS ACE Club teamed up with Olympian High to work as a unified team for their project, the redevelopment plan for the aging Vogue Theater and surrounding businesses in downtown Chula Vista.

Current Students On The Move
EHS Robotics Team CEO, Simon Way was one of two students selected as a Dean’s List Finalist award winner. This award qualified him to compete with other Dean’s List finalists from around the world at the FRC World Championships in Houston, Texas.
