Jesus “Dr. Leo” is innovative transformational educator who is passionate about STEM education. He is his doctorate degree in organizational leadership with an emphasis in STEM education, a master’s degree business administration, a master’s degree in educational leadership and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He is proud to have been a part of the Panasonic design team that developed the first flat screen television sets before LCD or plasma were available. As a classroom teacher, he led the opening of Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Pre-Engineering Program at Eastlake High School and established a successful robotics program (TitanBOT). He has been district teacher of the year. As assistant Principal of Student Activities at Eastlake High I created financial stability in the Associated Student Body (ASB), he created activities to promote school culture and founded the Parent-Teacher-Student-Association (PTSA). As SUHSD STEAM programs coordinator, he served the SUHSD educational community by providing access to curricular and extracurricular STEAM activities and programs across the district.
Leo believes in teamwork, collaboration, and shared responsibility and works to promote and encourage unity, harmony, and productivity.
