The EEF wants to thank the community! As students and educators head back to the classroom this week they will have important resources available because of the generosity of donors, sponsors, volunteers, and participants from Come Together Community Campaign and Taste of Eastlake. Grants totaling $105,000 have been distributed to seven Eastlake schools to fund future-forward learning that will help to ensure an innovative and engaging school experience for over 10,000 children. Included are Eastlake High School, Eastlake Middle School, Eastlake Elementary, Olympic View Elementary, Thurgood Marshall Elementary, Salt Creek Elementary, and Arroyo Vista K-8 Charter.
The Come Together Campaign happens every year from the middle of November through April 30th. The 2023 Taste of Eastlake returned after a 2-year break. A sell-out crowd of over 300 people attended the event at Enagic Golf Course. Guests enjoyed food and beverages from over 30 vendors (who donated their time, resources, and talents) while being entertained by the Anthony Cullins Band and DJ Cliff DePeralta. Of course, the best part was getting together in person for a fun-filled night to help our schools. Eastlake Alumni & Friends and the EEF partnered to organize the successful event. Stay tuned for the announcement about the next Taste of Eastlake.
